When Things Go To Hell in a Hand-Basket

When Things Go To Hell in a Hand-basket
Yes sometimes no matter how hard we may try to organize or set one plan into motion things will go way off track. Sometimes it’s something really big and at others  it’s in the small everyday things. For me today was one of those days.

My day started out normal, I got Tom and Jesse’s lunch set up our chicken dinner in my roaster outside on the deck, because I knew it was going to be a hot one and it's a way to not overheat the kitchen. As I sat at work thinking about this great dinner I was going home to, you can imagine my surprise on coming home. What could possibly go wrong you might ask?
Well my lovely chicken dinner was unplugged two hours before I came home, (no it wasn't the wind or the dogs) so instead of coming home to a nice easy meal, I came home to chicken that needed to be thrown out. Unless of course, I wanted to risk making my family sick. Yes, I wanted to stomp my foot, like the kids and yell really loud.
Bad Plug elf.
So at 6 p.m. instead of  starting dinner over again which was not my idea of fun I was off to the store to pick up some rotisserie chickens instead. Needless to say  dinner tonight was very late, it was good and everything worked out in the end, but you really can't control anything in this world.
The more one may try the more life will show you just how foolish that notion is. So take a deep breath and let it out, life is too short to be pissed off all the time, and it is hard to miss the humor of the situation. This is one of those times where patience is called for.
If I had left instructions this probably would not have happened, but then again maybe it would have happened anyway.

Its More then Just a Dream

As a recently married 46 year old I am in the process of finishing my degree. Working to take care of my family and live my life.Blogging, working, writing, and chugging along like most of us.  Who am I ? I am you, I am me, I am your mother, friend, the best and worst that we each have inside of us. I am a different perspective and find myself fascinated by the interesting moments in life.
